BEIJING EXTENDED THE 72 HOUR TO 144-HOUR VISA FREE TRANSIT POLICY
From December 28, 2017, the visa-free transit policy has been implemented by Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province. The policy applies to citizens from 53 countries who hold valid international travel documents, and a passenger ticket for connecting travel to a third country (region) with confirmed seats and a departure time within 144 hours. CHINA TO STORE ALL FOREIGNERS FINGERPRINTS UPON ENTRY
All foreigners will soon have to give their fingerprints upon entering China, with the new rule taking effect at Shenzhen’s airport on Friday.
The move, aimed at improving border checks, would see China collecting the fingerprints of all foreigners aged between 14 and 70 entering the country, the Ministry of Public Security said in a statement on its website on Thursday.

Beijing Daily News,Beijing airport speed up the procedure for Applying for the 24 /72 hour visa,the Immigration staff will shorten the process for foreigners who are applying for the 24/72 hour visa for the airport layover customers, the time will be expected to be shorten to within 5 minutes, and the 24/72 hour visa is free of charge.

BEIJING OFFERS FREE LUGGAGE STORAGE SERVICE FOR VISA FREE VISITORS DURING YOUR LAYOVER IN BEIJING
Transit passengers who make visa-free visits to Beijing will be allowed to deposit a piece of luggage for free with a temporary entry permit seal on their passports at special counters for those visitors.
The free luggage storage service was launched by Beijing International Airport on September 1 and it will run through until December 31, 2014.
Passengers who need the service should go to the counters at Gates No 8 to 10 on the second floor of Terminal 2, or the east side of Exit A in the Arrivals Hall on the second floor of Terminal 3.
